Morning Capital coordinated the activities involving a challenge for students of the Politecnico di Milano. In conjunction with the AUIC School of the Politecnico di Milano and Vittoria Assicurazioni, it brought to fruition the “Reinventing Square Challenge”, a contest created to develop ideas for the refunctionalization of Piazza Gino Valle: the open spaces of the square that communicate and interact with the neighborhood and its buildings offered the opportunity to develop concepts focused on making the most of the urban environment of which the Square is a part, to the benefit of the local community and society as a whole.
The winner was chosen using ESG criteria of energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and awareness of the health of users and the quality of life in general.
An e-book was created featuring the projects of the finalists and winner.
The preface was written by architect Guido Canali.
The afterword was by architecture professors Marzia Morena and Tommaso Truppi.
